Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Gouru & Co. LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with our website at gouru.com (the “Site”). We have designed this Site to collect as little information as possible.

Information we collect

The Site is a static, informational website. It has no accounts and no logins. Apart from the contact forms described below, we collect very little:

• Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when your browser requests a page — such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This data is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site. We do not use it to build profiles or to identify you personally.
• Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site — for example, which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the general region a visit comes from, and the type of device and browser used. Google Analytics collects this information through cookies and similar technologies; see “Cookies and analytics” below.
• Email correspondence. If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include in your message. We use it only to read and respond to your inquiry.
• Form submissions. If you submit one of our forms, we receive what you enter into it. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, phone number, details about a property you own, your indicated investment range, whether you have identified yourself as an accredited investor, how you heard about us, and any notes you add. You choose what to provide, and only the fields marked as required are necessary to submit a form.
• Mailing list details. If you ask us to keep you posted, we receive your first and last name, email address, the role you selected, and your phone number if you chose to give one.

Updates by email

If you sign up to stay in touch, we may email you occasional updates about what we are buying, what we are seeing in our markets, and opportunities we think are relevant to the role you selected. We do not send on a fixed schedule, and we do not send you anything you did not ask for by signing up.

You can stop receiving these at any time. Reply to any message, or email us at hi@gouru.com, and we will remove you promptly and permanently. We do not sell, rent, or share the list with anyone.

How our forms are processed

This Site is static and has no server of its own, so form submissions are delivered to us by a third-party form processor, Web3Forms, which forwards them to our email inbox. What you type into a form therefore passes through that provider on its way to us, and is handled under its own privacy policy and terms in addition to this one. Its servers are located in the United States.

Our forms include a hidden field used to detect automated submissions. It is not visible to you and collects nothing about you.

Cookies and analytics

The Site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (such as _ga) and collects information about your visit, including your IP address, which Google uses to measure and report on Site traffic on our behalf. We use these reports only to understand and improve the Site. We do not use advertising networks or advertising features, and we do not use analytics data to identify you personally.

You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. To opt out, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The Site works normally with cookies disabled.

Apart from Google Analytics, the Site does not set cookies. Fonts and other assets are served directly from the Site rather than loaded from third-party content networks.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above only to:

• operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
• respond to questions or messages you send us;
• evaluate a property you have asked us to consider, and communicate with you about it;
• contact you about investment opportunities if you have asked us to;
• send you the occasional updates you signed up for, until you tell us to stop; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We rely on a small number of service providers — our website host, our email provider, the form processor described above, and Google Analytics — who process information on our behalf solely to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Data retention

We keep email correspondence and form submissions only for as long as needed to address your inquiry and for reasonable record-keeping, after which they are deleted or archived. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider according to its standard practices, and form submissions are additionally subject to the retention practices of our form processor. Analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention setting we choose in Google Analytics. Mailing list details are kept until you ask to be removed, after which we delete them.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we collect so little, this most commonly applies to an email you have sent us or a form you have submitted. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general, professional audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International visitors

We operate the Site from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
